In August 2017 I did Death Road with Barro Biking agency. I paid 350 bolivianos for a standard (cheaper) bike. The tour was just ok, you get what you pay for. The only problem was lunch. The food looked good and was tasty, but some...More

There are so many reviews telling you how awesome this downhill bikeride is so I won't linger on that subject since I totally agree. The views are absolutely stunning! I just want to take the opportunity to stress the need for protective gear while doing...More

Don't miss this amazing experience on this beautiful road! It's worth every penny and if your not a crazy risk taker I deem it to be very safe. We did this with Gravity Bike tours and they are safe, friendly and explain everything in detail...More

Fast, then a bit scary, then challenging. No great experience in mountainbiking, just using my own bike back home. Snacks, drinks and food were well-paced and good. Had a good time with Barro Biking. Restaurant in the end of their tour was fantastic, with great...More

Really exciting activity to do when in La Paz. Not cheap for the standards of the country, but I guess it's priced for tourists. We paid around 45£ for equipment (bike, safety, clothing, etc), light breakfast, lunch and transport.

Stunning scenery, great changes in surrounding fauna over a 3000 metre descent, great opportunity for a bit of an adrenaline rush if you cycle the road. If going for the cycling opportunity, opt for Gravity if possible.

Went with altitude for our day down this road. Had a ball. Really worth doing. Managed to brake my phone so beware what you bring with you. Most companies take photos all day and send them to you later.

exciting, awesome, lovely landscapes and dangerous roads. Really a great place to get emotions, peace, healthy air and natural fruits.

A fun day...be careful rounding corners...a truck was coming around a bend and I was going perhaps a little too fast downhill. They usually sound their horn coming around blind cornors...this one didn't and left me with the choice of running into his grill...or trying...More

No worries! It's easy for anybody in good health-and it's all down hill. The only dangers would be looking at the scenery rather than at the road-there is no safety barrier and the fall would be fatal.Hitting a rock on the... More

There are tours going every day - booking the day before is no problem- be aware that most companies only accept cash.
