It'd be a shame to miss this spot

There are lots of beautiful geological formations around La Paz but this is one of the easiest to access and it is full of crazy shapes so I'd definitely recommend a visit. We... read more

Eventhough colour range of the landscapes is contrary to local fabrics, scarce and limited by sandy to grey, with scattered green of cactus and equisetum, the whole scenery gives you very intense aesthetic pleasure to behold. It is certainly worth of a taxi trip, a few miles from downtown. There was a piper in Bolivian garments whose performance on top... More

It doesn't take a long time to see everything so it is quite a long way out of town for a short experience. It is however very interesting and beautiful and worth the trip. You should be careful when you walk around. There isn't the same level of health and safety as in the UK.

We visited this unique place for an hour or so. The erosion of the land creates an interesting view worth the walk. We did the 45 min circle and enjoyed it very much. It was not crowded but there were others on the trail. This would be difficult for those with mobility issues although perhaps the short walk and overlook... More

Beautiful place, worth to visit. U need only couple of hours. Take a van from plaza san Francisco that goes to mallasa. (Small city right after moon valley). It costs around 4bs one way. Tell the driver u are going to valley de la luna, he will stop there. Entrance is about 15bs if i remember well. U can walk... More

We took the minibus "collectivo" from plaza San Francisco to Mallasa (small village right next to the valley of the moon) for around 4 bolivianos each one way and we asked the driver to drop us off at the moon valley and he stopped right in front of the entrance. The entrance of the site was 15 bolivianos each and... More

Interesting is the word I would use to describe this site. I'm still not sure what it was? There was no information in Spanish or English but it was great to see so unusual especially in the city. I will have to look up some information later. We paid a taxi 150bs to take us from the main tourist area... More

There are lots of beautiful geological formations around La Paz but this is one of the easiest to access and it is full of crazy shapes so I'd definitely recommend a visit. We spent around 1 hour at a pretty slow pace so we could enjoy the landscape, but if you don't have much time there is a shorter route.... More

I would not recommend you to go there. I did not find anything special to see or do there. I went there because the price was the same if we went there or not. You can buy it as a package together with the trip to Chacaltaya. But a green park that was close to this attraction was very nice.... More

Cool scenery, not a long activity but great to wander and take photos for an hour. Just manage expectations! Easy and in our experience perfectly safe to get there without a tour, 4B each way on the yellow micro collectivo/bus that comes down the Main Street to San Francisco church.
