If you want to bike around Bogota this is the way to go as on other days the traffic is terrible and to be on a bike is marginal and the exhaust fumes terrible. That being said there are some areas of bogota that have some decent bike lanes, but to ride around candelaria do it this way

This is the moment you get to walk around bogota without worrying about cars. If you want to focus more on ridding a bike or jogging I suggest going early so it isn't as crowded, but if you just want to walk around on sunday morning, and maybe grab a snack there is nothing better.

Every Sundaybthe carretera 7 is closed down for cyclist. It is a wonderful opportunity to discover the city on bike. Besides those who love dogs can enjoy a huge variety of species, as all dog-keepers are also ther for a great walk.

I used the Ciclovias last Bank Holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Only thing that bothered me was people overtaking and not looking behind before doing. Otherwise it is a good way to explore the city without feeling unsafe. If you have a dog it is the perfect occasion to take your four legged friend for a walk. Shame about the... More

On Sunday, the government closes one side of one of the main avenues (two way avenue), so while you run/cycle in one side, buses and cars rush on the other side, you can run, walk or cycle so I decided to run but was soon dilusioned by all the smog coming from the buses driving less than 2 yards from... If you like to run or walk you have to go to the Ciclovia. It's a nice way of knowing the way of life at Bogotá. Go to the Virrey Park, Zona T and take breakfast or brunch at any of the nice restaurants.

It is a space designed for people to make physical activities (walking, runnin, skating, cycling) on a ver informal athmosphere. Some kilometers of the main streets of the city are closed for vehicles and opened for citizens. It is open Sundays from 8am-2pm. If you have time to do some excercise, this is the place

Every Sunday morning Bogota becomes alive and active. Highly recommended to travelers. Rent a bike, drink some juice, try some fruit, and explore!

What a great way to see the city on a bike! Some major roads are closed to cars on Sundays and holidays. Rent a bike for a few hours and join the locals having fun whether you cycle, run, walk, or skateboard. Get off your bike and stop at a cafe or juice bar along the way, or enjoy aerobic... More

This a box you can check any time you come to Colombia either on vacations or even business. It takes place every Sunday from very early in the morning to 2 pm. It's a great opportunity for people to go out on their bikes in a very safe way with closed roads all around the city and for people and... More
