If you like to swim, this is the beach for you. The water was always calm, no underwater streams, so you can swim as if you were in a swimming pool. There are free toilets and a place where you can change. lots of caffees...More

Placid waters, sailing, swimming, great for children. Small foreshore area, trees for shade in places. Close to the road.

A lovely spot to spend our first visit to Noumea. The beach is not sandy but broken coral and is difficult to walk on but there is a path that follows the waters edge. The sunset was breathtaking and well worth the visit.

A very pretty spot - calm water, snorkelling right off beach, pontoon to laze on, chairs, showers on beach and restaurants just across the road. Easy walk here from anywhere or catch the local bus/taxi if you’ve lots to lug around

This was my favourite beach in Noumea. I saw the most beautiful sunsets every night. There are heaps of bars and restaurants right across the road, perfect having a drink and looking at the water. I would love to come back

Nice lazy beach, easy access both to get there and to get down onto. Good safe place to swim or just laze on the beach. There are a few wooden loungers dotted along the grass bank above which are most comfortable. There are many restaurants...More

Very well balanced area with enough places for food behind the beach, but at the same time not being overcrowded. Nice beach with the occasional yatch passing by/ anchored in the bay to enjoy the place.

The beach in the Northwest was less than stellar. The beach just past this jewel is much larger with more active water sports and quite busy. This is a smaller beach with a protective cove that leaves the water calm most of the time. However,...More
