As part of our river cruise we visited the small village of Yandaboo which is well known for its pottery and also where the first Anglo-Burmese War Peace Treaty was signed in 1826. Very interesting village to visit and see how they made the pots....More

We have a special vacation at Bagan. And we visited Ayeyarwady river then planned to see sunset on the small boat only 5,000 MMK per person. You can stay there for an hour. Relaxed and sightseeing around there.

The cruise itself was ok, including the food and seating. However, disembarking is dangerous and inpleasant. There was a single, unstable plank from the boat over the water to the shore, which was impossible to manoeuvre with bags. So the local touts grab your bags,...More

I highly recommend visiting Burma before it becomes commercialized. Very disappointed with Vantage Tours and the Irrawaddy Explorer though but loved the country. When we got the ship it looked pleasant enough and we anticipated a good trip. There was some preliminary instruction and we...More

We did the seven day Bagan to Mandalay and then back to Bagan cruise in April and it was pure luxury. The company doesn't have its own listing, probably because it's so lux, but I was looking for reviews when I was booking and couldn't...More

We enjoyed a 10-day cruise from Mandalay to Prome/Pyay (followed by a drive to Yangon). It is one of the most fascinating and unforgettable experiences we have had. The boat takes you to parts of Myanmar you otherwise wouldn't see. Of course the cruise includes...More
