Home of some of Buddha's hair

We went to the pagoda, as it was one of the recommended things to do in Yangon. We ended up spending around 15 minutes total in there. The interior is like a maze, and all walls are gold plated(some may find this interesting). Except for that, there is mot much to see/do here. Price is also high (6000 kyats) compared... More

Don't take me wrong it's and interesting place but if you go to the Shwedagon Pagoda first you will not see this one as impressive. I recommend visiting this one first to get an idea of the religion and culture, then continue with bigger Pagodas.

This was quite a busy temple when I visited and there is an entrance fee of $5000k. Inside it is like a golden maze and you will find many locals worshiping in corners. There is a viewing window to look through to where Buddha's hairs are meant to be. This temple us down on river front and nice to have... More

We were rather surprised that the pagoda suddenly appeared on the side of the street . I had imagined it was going to be stand alone! 6,000 kyats entrance and a special shed for foreigners to go through for scanning etc. We went at about 3.30pm and it was practically empty . The Golden Maze was unbelievable such workmanship .... More

Interesting to see inside stupa and hair of the Buddha- if you can actually see it in the crowded area. Lots of smaller Buddha statues inside cases hard to appreciate. Generally dirty but atmospheric and photogenic.

This is a must visit pagoda for making a wish with the famous whispering goddess and after that you have to make a wish also with another god who will make your wish come true faster! The interior of the pagoda is made from gold and look stunning beautiful!

Inside the pagoda - which is air conditioned which is a bonus on a hot day, is a corridor that twists and turns as it leads towards a peep hole where you can see where the Buddha's hair relic is kept. So much gold panelling on the walls that everyone's skin takes on a golden hue. This was not one... More

We went during the Festival of the Lights, so it was incredibly busy. While we waited to see Buddha's hair relic, many locals pushed in front of us. There wasn't anyone to control that. This pagoda doesn't compare to Shwedagon and others, and at an entry fee of 6,000 kyats it is very overpriced.

When you arrive at the Pagoda they take your photo and give you a certificate with your photo on and also a photo of the Pagoda and the entrance free which is 6,000 Kyats per person. Inside the Pagoda the wall are all lined with gold and as you walk through the different sections each wall has writing on it,... More

Ones impression of this beautiful pagoda begins at the entry and continues throughout the venue, a marvel of style and design.
