If you have spare time it's good to pay a visit, this Pagoda are very popular among Thais. However if you don't have much time i would recommended Shwedagon and Reclining Buddha instead. But if you do and 6000kyats entrance fee are acceptable it's good...More

Read about this place and was eager to ensure we visit this place. I don't think there will be many places where you will see relic of Buddha (or any other holy religion) in a tightly secured place along with historic valuable artefacts - a...More

Never expect to come here actually. It was actually recommend by Mr. Kyaw Kyi (my humble taxi driver). He brings me to this place. I would say it's nice but the entrance fee is a bit pricy. Could save a few dollars for Shwendagon or...More

With all due respect ... this attraction is over-rated. The only thing worth visiting is the relic en-shrined there. You get to see it at the middle of the Stupa, and it is air-conditioned. There are also a lot of artifacts that are locked inside...More

The Botahtaung pagoda was located in downtown Yangon. It's one of the city's most highly revered temples.

The central Stupa is said to contain 4 hairs from the head of Buddha. This Stupa is some what unique, on 2 points. First, it is not solid and as such you may walk inside to see the shrine that holds the hairs. Second, it...More

It's a nice place. We did this at night though I think it's a bit expensive. 6000kyats pax and the shrine itself is small. Better to go late evening.
