Mostly for reclining Buddha

This place is famous mostly for the reclining Buddha statue, but make sure to walk around the full temple so you can view other nooks and crannies

This was a another favorite. Make sure you walk around the site and see the Budda's feet. It is quite an impressive place.

The Buddha was built in 1899 by a wealthy patron then demolished and rebuilt with a better image in 1950. Spent an hour walking around it and the many temples inside the covering. It is well worth the visit.

The most interesting thing is to listening to "palm readers" you come across at this place. The one I met did surprise me pleasantly.

Probably popular for a number of reasons but perhaps because it is free for foreigners unlike all the other major temples. It is ok but less impressive than the other major temples that one can see in Rangoon but if it is easy for you to visit then do so.

It doesn't take long to view this incredibly large reclining Budda, so therefore it was worth the time. Doesn't have the appeal of the older temples because it is housed in a huge metal warehouse building....

This is worth a visit if only to appreciate the size of this reclining buddha. There isn't much else to see there, so you only need to allow about 1/2 hour at most. It's free to get in.

Interesting big lying buddha, and entrance was free for some reason although Internet said $5 entry (maybe just free on Sunday?). Good for some nice photos.

the surrounding area does not offer too much, other than the pagoda across the street. the reclining buddha is very impressive to see and worth the visit.
