Strong Massage n Correct Acupressure Points

It is important that the masseur knows exactly where to press, else it is a waste of time. I tried the foot reflex the first day and it was horrible. I returned the next day to... read more

My partner and I went to Genky earlier today for massages and left after 15 minutes. We've had many different styles of massages, but this felt haphazard and untrained to us. They simply jabbed their thumbs here and there - it was too quick and without any purpose. I was gritting my teeth hoping it would get better. My partner... More

It is important that the masseur knows exactly where to press, else it is a waste of time. I tried the foot reflex the first day and it was horrible. I returned the next day to try the full body massage with another masseur and it was awesome! I just wished I had extra time to do a longer session.... More

After walking around the Chinatown area of Yangon I decided to call into Genky [highly recommended by a co-traveller] on Saturday 25/06/16 around 5:15pm. On entering the staff were most welcoming and asked me to call back in 20-30 minutes especially not having made a previous appointment. I booked for one hour costing 6,000 Kyats & came out very relaxed.... More

After struggling to find a well priced massage I was very happy to find Genky! I had a problem to find the building as the map on the trip advisor was wrong. But I persevered and with the help of some english students that I spoke with who guided me to the correct address. The massage is performed by your... More

BLUF: no frills, decent massage by the vision impaired. Offers your choice of male or female therapist. Basically an upgrade from the mall stands with the chairs (this place has tables). I stopped in at 7:30 (they close at 9). Someone approached me after 10 minutes and I went for the 1 hour body massage (9000 MMK). The foot massage... More

I actually went to the one on 13th street, Lanmadaw. The person-in-charge asked if I would agree to a man and I had no problem. He gave his Burmese name which I forget but he teaches in the blind school from 9 to 5 and then comes to this place. He was excellent. My body was hard and stiff and... More

My partner and I decided to try this place on the last day of our holiday before our long flight home. Despite initially going to the wrong address (their old one in Sakura tower), and having to rush through the midday crowds to get to the new address, it was worth the effort. We both decided on 45 min foot... More

I chose Genky after reading they give strong, deep massages. I started with a 45 minute foot massage. It was a good massage and my feet felt great afterwards. To be honest though it fell short of foot massages I've had in China. There was no soaking of the feet or hot towels to warm up the feet and lower... More

This place isnt a 5 star luxury spa with pretty girls, scented towels or appointed interiors. It is more of a sports clinic physiotherapy/massage provided by the visually challenged. And this provides them a way to make a living in myanmar where the general population barely survives on $2usd a day. The 90min massage is only 9000kyats ! 60min 6000... More

It is a social project which trains and offers employment for the blind community in Myanmar. As I live here I tried different massage places and I always return to Genky for an excellent medical massage. This is not a relaxation place but a place to visit if you have back pain or if you really want to feel that... More
