We were staying in the nearby Pan Pacific and could see the cathedral from our room, so dropped in for a short visit. Nice and cool and an impressive building.

It was a pity that I visited the cathedral when it was closed but the beauty observed from the outside was still a breathtaking sight!

The Saint Mary's is in downtown Yangon in walking distance from the Scott market you're sure about to visit. It was on our list, but I didn't expect such a big and beautiful Cathedral in Burmese capital. It could easily rival those in Europe cities....More

This cathedral holds the memories of empire, with it's memorials to generals and ordinary people who came and served. Established in 1886 there is a chapel dedicated to the Burma Star Association, and in the grounds a memorial to the fallen

Great place to visit (even though I am not a Christian). Very pleased to see on how nicely maintained this historic building. Recommend for travellers (Christian and non Burmese) to join for a service.

Amazing to find such a well kept western style cathedral in the heart of Yangon! Very beautiful and immaculately kept. Quiet and cool. Stunning stained glass and colored brickwork inside. So worth a visit.
