    Lovely old town
What a charming city! The old town is so special. It shows you the history of the country and makes you enjoy the old architecture of buildings. Loved the food there and discovered new culture. Thank you Tbilisi for this!

    Metropolitan experience
It is a wonderful experience and great fun to explore Old Town Tbilisi. OK, there are some very "touristy" alleys that feel a bit fake and focus on specific segments the tourist market (the night-clubbing, shisha-smoking UAE), but there are plenty of genuine spots where you can feel a traditional Georgian atmosphere. It really depends on your personal preference : you can choose Big Brand shopping on Rustaveli Ave or walk towards the river to enjoy the parks.

    Nice Old Town
I have seen a lot of old towns throughout Europe. This one is a little rough around the edges, but it is fun to wander around the streets and check out the old houses with the balconies. Some of the are beautifully restored and many more a slowly falling apart.

Enchanting Escape to Tbilisi's Old Town
My recent visit to Tbilisi's Old Town (November 2023) was nothing short of a magical journey through time! From the moment I stepped onto the cobbled streets, I was transported to a world of architectural wonders and captivating charm. The buildings, adorned with intricate balconies and vibrant details, felt like living pieces of history. The Narikala Fortress perched on the hill provided breathtaking views, making me feel like I was part of a medieval fairy tale. The mix of styles – medieval, neoclassical, and art nouveau – created a visual feast for architecture enthusiasts like myself.

Tbilisi is especially beautiful in the evening, when the lights are on in the windows of the houses, the streets are lit up, and the river flows with a silent noise.

Did a walking tour of the old town of Tbilisi and it is a lovely place to wander with so many interesting streets, shops, bars and restaurants. Interesting variety of cultures and architecture makes Tbilisi unique and so different to the other capitals of Europe.

My first stop is a true masterpiece, the Holy Trinity Cathedral, or "Sameba" as we call it in Georgian. You can visit here for free. Kindly note that there is a dress code. There is a side entrance which I used and there is a main entrance that is generally used by all tourists to enter the church. I have shared more details on my channel. I chose to walk. It's a bit of a walk, so you can consider a metro or taxi if that is more convenient for you!

This is the main cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church located in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. It was constructed between 1995-2004. It is the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world and one of the largest religious buildings in the world by total area.

Additionally, the location is not accessible for individuals with mobility challenges due to the hillside setting.

It might not be the best old city centres in any such European country but it’s a nice walk around with lot of monuments.
What I found was lot s beggars and the prices are rip offs you have to be very careful.
