A charming ancient city. Amazing architecture of nice old buildings. The contrast between the old an the new scenery down the river walk is breathtaking.

Many shops and restaurants. You can't miss the wine houses... many types of different wines and cheeses! Try khinkali and khachapuri, those two are typical Georgian eats! Worth the visit!

In contrast to the other capital on our trip, Yerevan, Tblisi still has its old town decently preserved. Last years the city centre has been revibed, old buildings are updated and renovated but when you move outside the really busy streets and move up on the mountain you see the real old Tblisi, the old grandeur from 19th century buildings... We had a guide and very much enjoyed our walk through the old part of Tbilisi. In 2 to 4 hours you can cover it seeing most of what is there although one can also spend more time as well. If in this city it is a must do tour.

The walk in the old part od Tbilisi is a really nice walk. The houses with the balconies are very cute, there are plenty of caffes and restaurants ... it's quite touristy, but it really is a must.
