The Church is very impressive; the paintings are beautiful and it's worth popping into whilst passing through the Old Town. There isn't much more to say than that.

With all the cathedrals in Tbilisi and Georgia it can be hard to choose which ones to see if on limited time. This should be on your list. The interior is gorgeous blues and the lighting is vibrant. The architecture inside and out is impressive....More

It is a beautiful cathedral with mesmerizing wall-paintings which most of them painted in blue. It was so interesting to see youths pray in the church. There were dress code to inter the church and women must wear scarf.

A must see. This Church had Georgian and Russian frescos, we saw a baptism ceremony go on, heard the beautiful choir being performed without any instruments, heard about the history of the place, the influence of Persians too

Russian orientated frescos dominate the interiors of this church and they are very beautiful. Easy to locate as it it not nestled within old Tbilisi and near the waterfront. Very nice atmosphere inside and spacious enough to admire the wall frescos.

The church is best visited during a service. At that time, you can hear the chanting for which Orthodox churches in Georgia are famous. It was less damaged than other Tbilisi churches during the time of Soviet control. So for those of us who like...More

Cute small church located in the heart of old Tbilisi. Even it seems like not old do not pass this cathedral. It's one of the most oldest one in caucasus. Very strict about visitors clothing.
