A large business hub, Samseongdong is anchored by Korea’s World Trade Center, where many important business exhibitions and meetings are held. The enormous COEX mall sprawls underground, providing a myriad of things to do and see, including a large aquarium and movie theater. For a bit of peace and zen, head over to the ornate Bongeunsa Temple which is one of Korea’s most important places of worship. Or take a stroll nearby through the tranquil royal burial grounds of Seonjeongneung, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Went out of my way to visit the library, it was beautiful and looked great in photos however I expected it to be a more standalone library in real life it definitely looked less impressive in real life than the photos tho worth visiting if in the area

In contrast to the busy, vibrant shopping mall in Gangnam, this modern, ritzy library forms an interesting landscape in Seoul's exclusive enclave. It has become a major attraction in the mall with flashy design and a huge, festive Christmas tree. How is it as a library? Who cares!

A unique place where shelves and shelves of book adorn a lobby of a building interconnected with malls, dept stores, office buildings, lots of cafes and coffee places (a Starbucks is reign there).
I’m not sure what they do with the books. Some are just not going to reachable as it’s stacked so high. Many just sit down to read the multitude of magazines on the tables and racks. Yet, it seems very orderly though it’s a very public place. Still, it’s a place where many visit just for a photo snap.

It’s more lovely than the pictures make it out to be, and I came here at least twice a week. The space is full of books but it’s large and airy, and there’s so much public seating around that you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere. There are two floors, with cafes and even more seats tucked into the walls of books. There’s a lot of foot traffic at the center of the library, but the second floor and the outer areas of the first floor are quiet and relaxing.
Tip: If you go in December, the library puts up a beautiful tall Christmas tree and projects a huge festive video across the entirety of the bookshelf walls!

The library was in the B1 of COEX Mall and attracted so many tourists. There was thousands of books which we could choose the one we loved, sought a seat and read the book. Also, the library was a lovely spot to take a picture. Should spend sometimes here if you love reading.

A stunningly designed library inside a mall. You do not even realise it is there until it appears before you. There are cafes inside the library. Worth a visit to take photos.

This is an amazing spot for foreigners to take pictures (and locals to read) as the books are free for browsing but no English materials are available.

If you visit Kangnam sighseeing and visiting COEX is a must. We were deeply surprised and impressed by this public library and did not expect it at an commercialised spot like COEX or Kangnam. Quite place to take a rest and spend some time for reading. Absolutely worth a visit.

This does not disappoint! A fantastic design! This is worth a stop if you’re near Coex. I was staying at the Park Hyatt in Gangnam and this is in my friends itinerary for me to see.

Is Starfield Library within Coex Mall? Google map indicated otherwise.

The Starfield Library is within the Coex Mall. In Korea, I would suggest the tourist to use the HANCHAO apps because Google is not showing very well in Korea and Busan. I have no choice to install the apps if you need more information.

The Library is inside the Mall, it closes at 10pm. The information desk do not provide much information as she said she only knows the information about the mall. If you want to how to leave there, you better search yourself.
