If you're looking for big brand names and a wide selection of restaurants, this is the place to go. It's much less touristy than places like Hongdae and Myeongdong, so the crowds are a little thinner, which is great if you really want to focus on shopping. The main roads have the big brands on them like Nike, Innisfree, Canon,... More

This area is modern and definitely for those who like the luxurious designer shopping. It is a socially a strip with some higher end Parisian cafes but if you break it down, that's really it. You might like to people watch and see how the wealthy Korean women like to shop (in the galleria where you see all the mothers... More

Very nice area of Seoul. Close to the river. Not too much foreigners. Fancy stores to go for shopping.

Walking along the Rodeo Street, one will inevitably see a white, unique tulip-petal-shaped building. Opened about a year ago, this is where the Christian Dior flagship boutique is housed. The facade was designed by a French architect to reflect his vision of the weaving effect of moving fabrics. As soon as we entered the boutique, attentive staff ushered us to... More

Don't bother vising Café Dior by Pierre Hermé in Gangname Seoul. it's located on the top floor in the House of Dior. It's over-priced and it does not come with any value. Each of us order a fruit tea - mine is citrus & passion fruit and every glasses come out looking the same. Looking very ordinary like a free... More

A great long street to walk by and enjoy shopping with the brands there, and if you into Kpop, they called it the K star street.

Worth a visit if you are a fashion lover. There are a lot of international brand stores / flag shops along the street. Some at cool buildings. Stylish and gracious place but of course pricey. Very nice to walk around and still good to enjoy window shopping, if the weather is good. Unfortunately, we went there during a cold, windy... More

There's a number of indie fashion stores as well as international brands and the people there are dressed very nicely.

Staying in Apgujeong / Cheongdam

Neighbourhood Profile
Apgujeong / Cheongdam
Aside from Sinsa / Garosugil, no other area in Seoul connotes the words “luxury” and “fancy” like Apgujeong and Cheongdam. Global luxury brands have set up their flagship stores here, catering to the neighbourhood's mostly affluent residents. It’s also one of the top areas in Korea (some say the world) for cosmetic surgery, attracting hundreds of thousands each year for a little nip or tuck. The other parts of Apgujeong and Cheongdam are mostly lavish residential buildings for some of Seoul’s most affluent alongside extravagant restaurants, bars, spas, and other spots for indulgence. And Cheongdam has long been a bastion for flashy clubs and parties, though in recent years, Itaewon has emerged as a strong challenger to those claims.
