Old and worn out. Basic facilities. Staff in jjimjilbang incredibly rude, shouting at you if you fall asleep. Will never return. Siloam is much nicer in my opinion.

This is my 2nd Hanjeunmuk in this trip. I came in around 5pm. Not many people. The staff was ok with English and staff let me kow the $tix by pointing the pictures. I saw some wastern customers already in the spa. I didn't order any body srub as i just did it days ago. B1-spa and shower, B2 gym,... More

If you have been to dragon Hill spa and feel that it is very packed. Then you can try this place. It have lesser crowd which is good if you want to have some rest. It is cheaper as well. And it is nearer to myeongdong. With lots of other activities may late at night in hongik.

Huge jjimjabang without all the pretentiousness of the fancier ones in town. If you want to see what an authentic jjimjabang is like; soak in the pools here, dip into the frozen room, grab some delicious food and crash out for the night.

having gone to the different Jimjimbangs in Seoul. Happy day Spa is not too bad. Simple and still relatively local (which was pleasant). The only thing and reason why I decided to write the review is to say that when you are locating this spa. Suggest that you look for Marigold Hotel (Hongik University, Line 2, exit 9), and once... Cleaner than Dragon Hill, but not as clean as Siloam. Sleeping facilities were wanting compared to other jimjilbang in Seoul.

The staffs didnt know how to speak in english well , maybe the receptionist should inform us where the cold room was . We had to came up to the reception twice to finally discover where the cold room was. We went in the middle of night , the water baths was closed from 1-4am for cleaning. So we had... More

Having been to several saunas I cannot really endorse this one. On weekends really noisy (night) because of it's location right next to the sprawling streets og Hongik University. They are not cheap, they do not offer a lot. There is not much to say about it, the word that comes to mins is "Meh"....

It is a nice Jimjillbang, my first one, it has perhaps 5 different waterbaths and a sauna, then there are some specialties saunas, but you have to be very good at korean, since they have no information at all in regards to what is what, and all instructions are in korean. Worth trying! It quite easy to find, just on... More

This spa is open and very nice. They have hot tubs, saunas, and an ice room (great on hot summer nights). It wasn't particularly fancy, but the facilities and ample places to relax make this a good jimjilbang.

Staying in Hongdae

Neighbourhood Profile
Carefree enthusiasm is everywhere in this energetic neighborhood centered on Hongik University, Korea’s top art school. From its assortment of murals to the occasional amateur street performances, creativity and expression make up the wild and beating heart of vibrant Hongdae. At the Free and Hope Market (weekends at the Hongdae Children’s Playground) you'll find one of Seoul’s most popular handmade and creative markets drawing consistent crowds. At Hongdae, there’s never a shortage of things to do and see; food and drink options are nearly endless as are shops and noraebang (karaoke) rooms. Hongdae is also one of Seoul’s top party and club scenes catering to a younger demographic; if a packed club isn’t your scene, you'll also find a range of music venues and bars offering live music in all genres. Although Hongdae has lost much of its unique appeal and undergone rapid commercialization in recent years, be sure to explore Hongdae’s edges in areas such as Sangsu-dong and Yeonnam-dong where Hongdae’s fiercely independent streak still runs freely.
