If you love Owls this is the place to visit. I had the best experience with the Husband & wife that own this shop. More owls from all over the world than you could dream or imagine. Loved it so much spent 1 1/2 hrs there.

You should have enough detailed map to be able to come to this museum, because it is not easy to find. Admission fee feels a bit too high when you're inside the museum which consists of only one room filled with a collection of more than 2000 various owl objects. A free drink is included in admission. You are not... More

If you love owls, this is definitely the place to visit. This small museum has tons of items related to owls on display, ranging from stamps to ornaments, clocks to postcards... This museum was actually established by Mrs. Myeong-Hee Bae, who is an owl fanatic. The place is a little hard to find. From exit 2 of Anguk Station (Seoul... More

This place is less of a museum and more of a private collection of all things owl related. The sweet older lady that owns the place has spent her life collecting and being gifted owl memorabilia from around the world. There are literally thousands of owls/owl-related items on display. My friends and I enjoyed a cup of tea and did... More

A lovely lady has spent most of her life collecting anything related to owls. Things she has bought or found, and things that have been gifted to her. It is a huge collection on display and is very interesting to look around. It is not a place to travel specifically to see, unless you are an owl fanatic, but there... More

I rated this excellent, for what it is. If you love to collect owls, you're going to love this place. Even if you don't collect owls, it's impressive of the sheer volume of owl "art." It's not really as much of a museum as a large collection, as in thousand and thousand of owl trinkets, statues, art, etc, crammed into... More

Staying in Samcheongdong / Bukchon

Neighbourhood Profile
Samcheongdong / Bukchon
This historic neighbourhood was traditionally home to Seoul’s middle and upper-classes. Now it’s most famed for its clusters of beautiful, traditional Korean homes (called hanok), many of which are found in Bukchon. Many of these homes have now been converted into restaurants, cafes, shops, and even guesthouses, and their unique architecture offers a look at Korea’s traditional beauty. Samcheongdong’s main and side streets attract locals and tourists alike for their quaint and charming scenery, while the Blue House (Cheong Wa Dae) serves as the residence for South Korea’s president. Art fans will love exploring the many independent and private art galleries in the area.
