Incredible architecture. Many artefacts. Lots of tourists with guides and therefore do not expect quietness and serenity. Not far from the metro station which is also a great way to go around.

The Hanging Church dates back to the 3rd century and should be seen. Supposedly, it is called the Hanging Church because it is built above a roman gatehouse in Babylon. It has many icons and it is a site well worth visiting.

My visit was so peaceful here, so many people from different faiths I. The church all enjoying its beauty, this is the church where Jospeh and Mary brought Jesus as a baby. A must see.

Interesting but it is a church. What is interesting is how they built it. It is built on top of two ancient towers.

The room in which Jesus, Joseph and Mary supposedly stayed (right!) was interesting, but the most remarkable thing about this visit was seeing all of the local Muslims sharing the experience. Maybe tensions aren't as bad as one might fear.
