Loved this area of Cairo. The hanging church was beautiful inside but no photos are allowed which was pity.

The Church is dated back to the 4th century. Built on the ruins of 2 towers from the old Roman fortress of Babylon, one can literally see it hanging from the glass floor! Al-Muallaqa or the hanging church was built by Emperor Trajan in 98...More

It's a little crowded at times and a little commercial but so worth the visit. Please add this wonderful church to your itinerary.

This site is quite clean, with nice mosaics, religious art and architecture. Although I enjoyed it, I don’t think it was worth the effort it took to get through traffic to get here. Plus after 20 minutes I was done. Gets crowded a lot.

Very old Coptic church built between two old Roman towers. The history and architecture are very interesting and may be worth your time if your into this type of history. We went on a Friday and it was very busy with tourists and locals.

Impressive church both from the outside and inside forms part of Coptic Cairo and it's very easy to reach it by metro or Uber.

It's a beautiful building on the inside and out. The way it was built it defies gravity ... constructed on top of extremely high walls ... when you look down you just think ... WOW!!!! Incredible.

I think it is free we were with a tour guide but have been there twice and there is a gift shop and place for donations but don’t think there was a charge to visit the church.
