We covered this museum on our tour of Egypt. Worth seeing, especially the big statue of Ramses II. Not much else to see in Memphis.

The Egyptian Antiquities team has added a walkway around this museum now and it enhances the experience somewhat. But it still is a poor cousin to Saqqara, Dashur, and Giza. Stop by if you have time but skip it if you are pressed for time....More

really nothing here worth the entrance fee except if you're into big statues of Rameses II. But if you're going to Abu Simbel which has immense statues of this guy, don't bother.

We stopped here on our way to the Pyramids. We found this a worthwhile stop. We enjoyed the sphinx, and the Colossus of Ramses.. There was an interesting exhibit above the Colossus. Memphis is the ancient capital of Egypt, and was called Noph in Biblical...More

I don't think of this as a Museum, it is more a single statue of Ramses II with a few smaller statues outside the building and a number of shops. More people trying to sell you something which was made in China. It is worth...More

Entry fee of LE40. Not much to see except the Giant statue of Ramses II and a granite sphinx of Ramses II. This is best included in a day trip with Saqqara and or Dahshur

An interesting, if small, museum south of Cairo which can easily be combined with Saqqara and Dahshur. Main things to see are the statue of Rames II and a smaller version of the sphinx.
