We took a day trip to the pyramids and arrived early in the morning. Seeing this pyramid up close is a must while in Cairo! Just looking at this massive pyramid its hard to imagine that they are manmade. Be aware of the tourist-traps with Egyptians standing around the pyramid telling you where to take pictures and giving you ideas... More

Very impressive. We took the tour inside as well and it was worth for the experience of it to be inside a pyramid.

Nice experience to see it, but you spent like 5 minutes watching and that;s actually all. First Cheops, then you can see Sphinx.

Excellent, highly recommendable, the greatest pyramid built 4,500 years ago, and you can get inside to the core of its tomb, unforgettable to me

The pyramids themselves are everything you will have expected. They are a must see in Cairo. Unfortunately the experience is not the best. The tourist trade has vastly reduced in the last years, so be prepared to be mobbed by hawkers trying to sell you stuff. The pyramids are a step away from a poorer area of the city, literally,... This is one of the Wonders of the World. Imagine thousands of years ago, Egyptian workers moved thousands of large stones, perfectly placed them without mortar, to a height the world had not reached until that time. How did they do it? No one is really sure, but evidence points to building ramps around the pyramid to pull stones up,... More

You've seen them in pictures and movies for years but to stand at the pyramid and gaze up, and to climb on a few of the lower stones and just take in the scope of the monument is a whole other experience. Yes it's iconic and familiar but being there is beyond expectations - absolutely do not miss the opportunity.

Not for claustrophobics. Be prepared for steep stairs and blowing sands. The sound and light show is not very interesting.
