After visiting the papyrus institute the local guide should convince you to visit the essential oil factory. The well mannered and speech ed person explain how can they make these and from which things and it's usefulness. they will trap you to buy some oil with their superb speech. The oil price is so expensive. Please try to avoid this... More

We stayed at he Great pyramid hotel in Giza across from the Pryamids. Hey set us up for a few tours that we thought would be mostly history and learning. He first day we were taken to this Siwa perfume and essential oil store in Giza. At the time we got free tea and we're brought into a comfortable office... More

Don't buy - these guys are a con! They show you one product and give you a watered down product! All a scam. Not sure what other visitors saw here but they obviously don't know when they have been missed sold pure to a watered down product.

We bought 10 bottles for £100, despite making a firm agreement not to buy before entering. The whole place is fake, they use the hospitality trick with drinks to soften the buying mood. The contents of the bottle are not the same as those tested and smelled at the shop.

They will give you a history of essential oils and let you try as many as you want plus they offer you coffee, tea, or hibiscus juice (ask for it with a little sugar...its awesome). They will go lower on the price if you haggle and they may give you a free perfume bottle. My favorites were the gardenia and... More

You do no come to this place by yourself. There are deals between tourist guides and shop owners, after some tourist attractions to bring you to some "government approved" shops. Probably you will visit Souvenir shop, Papyrus shop and Perfume shop. I like the perfume shop the most of all. I was several time in "Cleopatra Perfume shop" in Giza.... More

This hotel has the best staff I've ever come across. They're incredibly polite but friendly and always willing to help: from the reception staff to the bell captain and the waiters (during breakfast). We arrived really early in the morning and our room was made available before 9 am! Although my children enjoyed the Aqua Park from morning till sunset,... More

Have been living in Cairo for a while now and went to this shop on a tour with a friend. Oils are better quality than any I've seen in the Middle East or abroad in Canada where I'm from. Sorry others had a bad experience but I certainly don't think it's accurate and hope others will go and see for... More
