Go with a good guide who can tell you the history of the place and it may not be worth entering the pyramid per se to see an empty room. Instead budget for more time at the Egyptian museum

It's the reason to go to Cairo really! We walked around the whole area. Do it in the morning if going around September as it's very hot. The sound and light it great to see too. Well worth a visit.

There is no dress code required when visiting the pyramids of Giza. Only when visiting religious places (like mosques) you are required to cover up. Just to be sure, bring some light shawl to cover your back, if necessary.
