Overview

At each Philae Sound and Light show, the Egyptian gods and goddesses are, like Osiris, resurrected before our eyes to tell us their life stories. What would Isis say today if she learned that her temple was allowed to sit in water for many years? She would not be happy with this, but she would be proud to know that, like her husband Osiris, Philae was reborn so that new visitors can see the glory of Philae year after year. ...

Temple is beautiful. But the show was dull. Voices narrating the story of the gods, but with no relation what so ever to the lighting. I would have expected more of a graphic kinda show in our era of technology. Better visit the temple in...More

I would recommend a night trip - Sound and Light show as to day trip. It is worth the extra effort of taking a taxi and spending 120 EGP (approx) on ticket and 170 approx ( for the boat). Although the boat rate mentioned on...More

We had been given the history at our day tour but the light and sound show made the story much more fun. A fun and interesting show.

I have been to this attraction several times at night. Because of how close you are to the equator, the stars appear to touch you. The story told of the temple is so wonderful to hear. There is a short boat ride to the island,...More

I would say that it would be extremely difficult for a wheelchair user, as there are many steps and a lot of uneven ground to go over.
