The two Bike Beijing day tours that I took were exactly what I wanted. The Old Beijing tour introduced me to biking in this great city, and took me to many of its major historic sites. It was a great way to start my visit....More

This was a last minute addition to our Beijing trip and so glad we did it. We went through hutongs and back streets we never would have seen otherwise. Harry did a great job of guiding us through the streets of Beijing. Would recommend this...More

We took the tour a few days into our stay in Beijing and found that there was very little new insight. We visited some of the obvious main landmarks but were disappointed not to learn more about the city for the expensive price. There was...More

We had the most brilliant experience on the night tour. Our guide was very patient, provided lots of information about the Hutongs, and expertly navigated us around the busy streets of Beijing - with no fuss! We started off choosing a bike, and then headed...More

We tried the three hour e-bike tour of the hutongs. Our guide Harry went above and beyond. Great guide, easy ride. It was just us on the tour so we ended up with our own private tour. Afterwards he helped us find and order lunch...More

First, I am the type of tourist who doesn't like to be a tourist, seeking off-the-grid ways to explore new places, AND we are adventure-seeking, active, outdoorsy types. Beijing Bikes fit the bill for us! First we did the Great Wall Bike & Hike tour...More

Traffic in Beijing is legendary and the most interesting roads are so narrow they are impossible for cars to navigate. So get around like the locals do: by bicycle! You will ride through the hutongs and move quickly between sites (Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven,...More

If you have a few hours free get on the bikes for a very interesting tour of the Houtungs and a brief visit to Forbidden City. Decent bikes and very good tour guides. Run by great people who genuinely seem to care.

From what I can tell from the map the bike location is not too far away. Get a taxi, it is not expensive. This bike tour is well worth the effort. Enjoy.

We did this with a large group of about 28 people, of our own group. I don't know how bike beijing is working with people wanting to join a group. I suppose it is possible though. I have seen couples joining.

I also did not have children with me, but would not see any issue with the 4hour Hutong and forbidden city tour, provided that your 11 year old is used to cycle in a normal city and the group is small. Most of the way are... More
