My 15 year old son and I had a 3 hour cycle tour one hot afternoon and had a marvelous time with katie. I am amazed still that helmets don't seem to exist in China especially with the crazy drivers, but with some confidence and guidance it was easier than i thought. We rode past many sights and hit some... More

We did the one day secret great hike with this company and it was incredible. We got to walk a part of the wall that the tour groups and crowds don't visit so for three hours we only saw 9 other people on the wall. It's a tough hike though as the wall is unrestored, rugged, steep and slippery but... More

We booked a morning tour with Cycle China. It was absolutely brilliant. The 21 km ride was flat and easy. Our guide spoke English and gave us great info about the sights we passed including Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Houhai lake and especially interesting was the Hutong area where the old houses and their history have been preserved. Great for... More

This cycling tour definitely takes you to all the must see places. The highlight was visiting the Summer palace and going to a tourist-free area of the great wall - magnificent scenery and so tranquil compared with the city. However there were a few negatives to the tour: although the guide spoke excellent English, his knowledge of the region was... More

I booked with beijing bikes and arrived to find it was just myself and the tour guide. I cant remember her name, she was 24 years old and just great! For the next 3 hours we weaved in and out of various different Hutongs. My guide stopped at different locations to talk about the different thinkgs we were seeing. It... More

Andy is the man! Full disclosure - my husband and I spent 5 days with Andy hiking on the Great Wall before we took his cycling tour. He knows the city - he was able to provide us with a unique experience visiting the major sights in Beijing and making sure we learned something along the way. The dedicated bicycle... More
