after simatai great wall and gubei water town overnight. its a two hours drive from Miyun to Pinggu. Have a small theme park upon entrance. We took one way cable car going up for ¥100 which is expensive. after the cable car still need to take lots of stairs to reach the top. the glass cantilever plaItform is really high... More

Its a very nice place. Definitely a place of delight for people who love hikings. Highly recommended. Enjoy the caves, paintings and various carvings that are dotted all around the place.

Recommended for thrill seekers and hitch-hikers. ShiLingXia is not a very big place but it will give you enough challenge for a weekend with your friends or family. Enjoy all the carvings and paintings on your way to the top. There is also a small cave that served as hideout during the war. Be prepared, wear right shoes and equipment... More

Visited this scenic spot for the second time in a year. Summer is great and lots of water but a lot of people. Never go in Winter as the entrance fee of 78RMB is not justified.There is no water up the mountain side in Winter as it is all dried up. There is water in the lake however and still... More

From Dongzhimen transportation hub in Beijing take 918(2 hr) or 852(1 hr 20 min) to Pinggu. This 9rmb w/ card, 15 rmb w/o card. Public toilet just down past the bus stop in Pinggu. Change to local bus 25, runs every 30 min on weekdays to both the gorge and the cave, this is 2rmb w/o card, if using card... More
