This very imposing obelisk in the middle of Tiananmen Square was built between 1952 & 1958 to commemorate those who died struggling for Communism.

This is a monument that commemorates those who fought for chinese communist party. Chinese communist party underwent hardships with japanese and former goverment now resides in taiwan. It is in the tiananmen square.

Ok but a little boring. Not much to see. Wouldn't go out of way to see it but if passing then a good place to go. Had a guide to explain.

These are wonderful monuments at the back of Tian'anmen Square. These are both very detailed and a sight to behold. Definitely worth a look while in Tian'anmen Square

I found this monument fairly interesting. It sort of reminded me of the thing that you would expect to see in a communist country and it certainly has the name to match. Took a few selfies and moved on.

At the rear of Tianamen square you will find the two memorial statues both are absolutely stunning and incredibly well detailed - definitely worth checking them out...
