I have been taking my kindergarten classes to this museum for the past 5 years. The facilities are pretty good, but the children's area has been deteriorating recently. A few of the exhibits are starting to fall into disrepair and there hasn't been anything new added in all this time. Overall, the museum is very fun for the kids, there... More

I visited this museum as part of an educational tour. This museum has 4 floors, with each floor having different themes. As expected, there are various exhibits on science and technology. Some of the interactive displays and experiments are fun, especially for the kids. While it is a good place for family visits, it may be predictable and boring for... More

Look, I want to be objective and whilst there are some things to interact with its a little outdated. It is not even close to London, in fact it's more of one trick pony, great building but the displays are a bit Blue Peter aka tin foil and not your standard china copies! The moon lander was kitchen foil and... More

During this past summer, I was involved in a 2 week summer camp for an organization in Beijing. Kids from all over China traveled to the capital and experienced many of the cities famous attractions. One such place was the museum of science and technology. I went there twice with two different sets of summer campers. The kids loved the... More

My kids loved the Museum. They have a children's play area and it was interesting to watch my 9 and 13 year old who can't speak a word of English "play" the locals. We saw a 4D movie in China and the animation was awful. Like others say it was crowded but the kids liked it. Beijing in August is... More

I wanted to go to this place to"practice science" because this museum is meant to be stuffed with experiment apparel rather than plain exhibitions. that was the case for 70% of the venue, which is very good! however, not only were most explanations given out in Chinese only (not all but really most of them ) and would very often... Very crowded this time of year while school is out. So maybe not the fairest review as it was tough to just get to some of the exhibits and the kids did not enjoy it that much. People were everywhere. We were on our last leg of our trip to China and returned to Beijing. We already visited the major... More

Interesting child friendly museum, unfortunately not all areas were open. We had gone with the sole purpose of seeing the space flight display and this was closed. Restaurant was chaotic, lots of toilets and water on sale, lots of people taking a nap!

Went with two 7 year Olds. Massive place organised in different sections each priced differently. 4D motion cinemas for the imax+ experience. Section for children's science paradise for 4 to 10 year old probably OK once or twice but limited interest for pretweens. The bigger exhibition hall has more ...spanning history of science in China to the future eg space... More

We went to Beijing last week with our son for 8 days. For him of all the attraction that we visited. The ultimate number 1 is the China Science and Technology Museum. Sadly its not widely advertise only our Russian friend told us about it who lived in Beijing for couple of years. Very accessible and easy to go to... More
