Beautiful cherry blossom in end of March! You can enjoy the walk in the park for 2 hours. Take more great photos in the flower festival! Entry fee is RMB10

I visited the park even though it was cold and rainy, but it was beautiful with the cherry blossoms. Because of the weather, and probably also because it was a Monday, it wasn't very crowded. It costs 10yuan for adults. It is a large park. There are games, snacks, and souvenirs available. You can take a boat ride, but I... More

I went there for a walk in the evening. Very pleasant and not crowded. Good views for sunset pictures. However, don't expect anything like the Summer Palace. Moreover, it is some distance from the centre of town and I would not list it amongst Beijing's top 30 activities.

Great park in the heart of Beijing. Popular among the locals as well, perfect for a nice walk, and great photo scenery especially in the sunset. You can also row your boat around the lake in the middle.

This is a huge park, with a very big and nice lake in the middle, worth a walk through if you have around 2 hours free. Possibly do it if you have a couple hours spare before catching a train from the West railway station. Bear in mind that there is a river running on the South side of the... More

Just when I was getting bored of Beijing, this park that I didn't know existed, surprised me with beauty, amazement and wowness! If you haven't seen cherry blossoms before or you love Cherry blossoms, during end of March and beginning of April Cherry blossoms are full bloom and beautiful. This is also one of the many parks China has to... More

I have lived here for four years and am not considered a local by any stretch of the imagination but I have been around the city. I didn’t really like Yuyuantan Park at all. My first mistake was I visited in the winter time because I had some free time and like to city all the various parts of my... More

Spent around 2 hour walking around this the tranquil Yuyuantan (玉渊潭). Great place for a picnic or to relax. The main draw to this place would be the cherry blossoms which we unfortunately missed (come end of March / early April) but never-the-less its still a nice walk along the lake. Entrance fee was 10CNY I believe and closes during... More

A terrific Beijing Park experience. With all the singing, dancing and food stalls you should expect from a big park. This one is a little off the beaten path for Westerners. I saw only one small tour group and no Chinese tour groups. It was April and the cherry trees were in full bloom so lots of people but i... More

Accessible via subway military museum, exit A. Honestly this park was a bit of a disappointment if you have seen summer palace, Benhei park, fragrant hills and so on. It is a relatively new park. So do not expect old buildings and pavilions. I visited 21 April. Unfortunately the cherry blossoms were already gone. Would not waste your time and... More
