The royal tombs are a short distance outside the city. Hundreds of small stone animals guard the road to the tombs.

We stopped here on our way to the Great Wall. Frankly, there is not a lot to see here, but you can sample parts of Chinese history and culture. They feature some interesting artifacts and there is a large gift shop.

Again and I am sorry but most of what I saw in Beijing were old buildings and after I came out of these places there were people everywhere selling stuff.

We went to the Great Wall for the morning and spent 30-60mins at the Ming tombs. There isn't much to see, i liked the gardens and outbuildings a lot better than the actual tomb itself. In the underground tomb it was very underwhelming. Not enough...More

Tombs of 13 emperors from Ming dynasty, about two them accessible for public. Nice, but not a must see, especially if you have already seen or plan to see Forbidden City. Visits are usually combined with a trip to the Great Wall.

Sacred way and the main thumb it is worth of it. You just need 30 minutes but is really impressive you can see the landscape with 12 more thumbs. It is worth it and = crowded

The tombs are just concrete in an underground tomb with a lot of stairs to climb down. I found it disappointing as there are no real photos or descriptions but the gardens surrounding the place are beautiful. We enjoyed the walk through here with our...More

Agree with other answers - there stairs but still lots to see and enjoy without having to climb stairs. It is worth the visit and is a lot quieter and less crowded than other attractions.
