Definitely worth coming here if you want adequate quality knock offs. Of course you will have to negotiate. Start low and be prepared to walk away.

We have been to both the Pearl and the Silk Markets. I think the Pearl Market is the better of the two. You have to understand that there is nothing in either one that is legit as far as copy or trade mark is concerned....More

This market is legendary. Although on here it says they open at 9:30 - they actually open at 10AM. If you don’t mind haggling and being almost forced to buy things you weren’t quite sure you actually wanted. That being said, don’t try to bargain...More

Warning to travelers--we enjoyed the Pearl Market, my husband was able to get a SIM card there, and then we walked over to the amazing Temple of Heaven. However, we withdrew $300 US from the Bank of Beijing ATM in the food court basement and...More

This was a stop on our tour and they did provide an explanation on how to determine the quality of pearls which was quite informative. Still very busy place, but this is Beijing.

Some interesting information about pearls, but unless you are planning to buy them, it is just another of those "shopping opportunities" that tours insist on including in their itineraries.

There is totally 8 floor & specialising in pearl products. At the ground floor, you can get cheap watch, silks, souviners & electronics products. Bargain to get at least 50% discount

The first few floors are the same stuff as you in the Silk Market. The upper two floors are pearls. The very top floor is higher end stores and jewelry shops. I enjoy shopping here. They will customize your order, for example, I ordered a...More

It is best to bargain with them. You can also walk across the driveway to the New Jewelry Building. Silk Market was more expensive.
