The 14 story pagoda was one the best spot to visit in this place (you can still see monk trainees to pray and do chores, very interesting). With Mountain car, lots of temples to visit and many stops to enjoy, this place is (I think) one of the best hideouts of Beijing to enjoy during Spring or Summer seasons, even... More

It was an exceptionally clear day in Beijing so we decided to venture out to this location which we knew very little about. It turned out to be a fun day. The temples are very nice and the location is excellent. We have 3 small kids so, after walking for a while and having a picnic lunch, we took the... More

It is quite far to the west of the city. This place comprises of different temples that you explore on foot and staircases. Buddha from different origins, goddess of mercy temple, and generally you can make offerings here unlike some temples in the city center.

I lived in Beijing for a little over a year. Getting out to the country side was always important to me. So on my last day in China I went to my favorite place. Close to the summer palace and the Bejing botanical, both day trips in themselves. I really enjoyed this incredible park of The Eight Temples. My friend... More

This place is really authentic. You can see a lot of faithfuls come here to pray. This place is absolutely huge and you will need to spend the whole day here walking from temple to temple. The architecture is beautiful and if you have the time and you are studying abroad here you need to come see it. There are... More

Not so many western tourists the Sunday we visited this pearl of Beijing. Eight interesting Buddha temples which are active with praying visitors and monks. Lovely wood / park on hills - a nice contrast to the flat city of Beijing east of Badachu. A cable car to hilltop for those who have tired feet. Highly recommended site!
