Very crowded area but many shops selling the same things. If you enjoy crowds shovingyou rudely (and the local Chinese do that extremely well) and end up buying nothing, then you should not miss this place.

We toured this village and found it very quant and lively. We had the best coffee at a restaurant on the first floor. The market sells many local food and handicraft items and is lively and entertaining. Worth a visit!

We visited here for a few hours on a Wednesday afternoon and it was packed. The area is a historic old town with winding streets and alleyways lined by historic architecture. It is filled with shops and restaurants. You can find so many different kinds...More

I can't say there's really anything special about this place, just a lot more Chinese shops to visit, but if you've never been here you have to at least do it once.

This is a restored ancient town with a feeling of olden days China. There are many shops selling souvenirs, Chongqing delicacies, art and craft, tea houses. It’s a busy place full of tourists as well as locals. Good to spend a couple of hours.

Fascinating view into life of a prominent18-19C business family. Beautiful old house/compound with furniture, photos, etc. Go early before the crowds. Nearby tourist attracting village of shops, food stalls, tea shops. Allow 2 hours

Always very crowded. Entertaining for a couple of hours. Lots of food tasting available, but it is mostly the same food over and over again. Wall to wall people. Nice riverfront area to get away from the crowds for a bit.

This is a old town which converted to a commercial shopping and eating place, very crowded and expensive.
