Great free fun in Hong Kong. The bus drops you off at the entrance and it won't be long before you see monkeys everywhere. Do not bring any food and heed the warning signs that are all over the place about not feeding the monkeys. Otherwise you might have a negative experience. There are a number of hiking trails around... More

My husband and I seemed to be mostly alone on the beautiful trail but it was difficult to take it all in in fear of a monkey attack. I don't know if they were on something that day but the were fighting amongst themselves and hissing at us during one point. My anxiety was through the roof during the process... More

This was a pretty remarkable experience: you just walk up the road and there are monkeys everywhere. It was a pretty surreal walk up the road, though, and contributed mightily to my experience of Hong Kong as Mad Max-ville. As others have said: don’t feed the monkeys and don’t look them in the eye. When they make that angry face... More

We visited "Monkey Mountain". At first when the cab driver dropped us off we were walking and looking for monkeys in the wrong place and ended up touring two different reservoirs in the park. After several miles of walking e spotted 2 monkeys sitting on the edge of the road. Unfortunately when we approached them they were very aggressive showing... More

Lots of wild monkeys. Sometimes they may be quite nasty, trying to take your things from you, but we were lucky. We fed them with bananas and cheese. There's actually two roads, one wide, and one narrow and wild (it's called Family Path, but a good part of it is a ladder, so don't go there with little kids).

Went here with my family and had a good time especially to see the wild monkey (they welcomed us at the parking lot). Unfortunately it's just sad that people don't follow the rules and keep feeding them. Some of them are agressive, so be careful... the paths and walkways are good to walk also with youn kids. Unfortunately many locations... More

My husband and I went here knowing that the likelihood of seeing some monkeys would be high but we did not anticipate it being a scary experience! It was easy enough to get there via bus, but we did have some trouble finding the trail head. At one point we started walking toward Lion Rock Country Park which we realized... More

Tourists can catch Bus 81 from near Yau Ma Tei MRT on Nathan Road. Get off at Shek Lei Pui Reservoir Stop, it was $6.80HK on Sunday, less on week days. You will see the monkeys at the bus stop. You can walk down Golden Hill Road (it is on the same side of the road as where you exit... More

Kam Shan Country Park is beautiful in its own right with a lake (Kowloon Reservoir) and a great nature trail, but a lot of people are visiting it mostly to see its free roaming macaques. In order to find them, after entering the park, walk up the hill on Golden Hill Rd. You may find single monkeys or entire families... More

Wild monkeys can be found in the park. There is a reservior inside the park. You can enjoy the view there. Better take a taxi at cheung sha wan mtr. It costs about hkd 50. Do not try to feed them because they would be angry if no more food for them. Also, take good care of your personal belongings.
