Soho is a quite hilly neighborhood and by bit it is very steep. Just this 'street' is more of a long staircase in different sections and if you choose to go down then it is possible for most people, while uphill requires a well-trained heartbreak....More

Make sure you have your fitness on if you're going to tackle this. I had no idea what I was in for. I guess the heat and lack of shade didn't help. This was honestly one of the worst experiences of my LIFE.

The ladder street and surrounding area are real lively. Although Ladder Street itself is touristic the surrounding street are really nice. Good place to find some fun, and if you look thoroughly also very nice, souvenirs.

Just a few stalls scattered along the streets, selling mainly "antique" dust-collectors. Skip this even if you have time.

I had a really good walk around this area and whilst ladder street is steps and more steps it is a good glimpse into the heart of HK and there are loads of interesting streets to explore around mid-levels plus temples and a few other...More

Ladder Street, and the surrounding hilly streets, give a small glimpse into what the Mid-Levels area was like before the escalators. Climbing up from the bottom is tiring. My suggestion is to take the escalators up to the top (or a bus) and then walk...More
