My itinerary for the day: Central to Tung Chung by MTR, Tung Chung to Pui O Beach by bus and Pui O to Mui Wo Pier by bus. I had a swim at Pui O Beach and then went to Mui Wo Pier and back...More

It was a long hike for us, probably because we were not as fit as we thought, and also because we were duped into thinking that this was a hiking trail suitable for beginners. Stamina and strength required if you really wish to hike because...More

Mui Wo is a beautiful, chilled and relaxed place. On my last visit here, decided to try one of the seafood restaurants looking out over the bay. They're usually great value for money and the food is fresh (or so iI expected). Decided to have...More

Great for a day trip. Take a ferry from Central to Mui Wo. Walk or cycle around the beach and villages. The air is cleaner and the place is relaxed. There's some good restaurants, and keep a look out for the beloved water buffaloes!

After half an hour by boat we arrived at Mui Wo. Walking around there is the beach, very quiet and perfect in a way, through the village street with small eateries and village houses. Passing the monastery we walked to the waterfall. A really nice...More

If you're only transitting in HK, and you've already seen the 'main' sights of Kowloon/Central, stayhing on Lantau Is (where the airport is), is a great option. Mui Wo is hardly more than a village, but it's the 'capital' of Lantau. You can relax on...More

It's a place rather than an actual hotel - silver mine beach in mui wo has a beachfront hotel which you could search for.
