Sai Kung is a small fishing village with picturesque boats, beaches and mountain scenery. The fresh seafood is plentiful and there are many dining options and wine bars along the seaside promenade. A day at the beach here makes for a nice change of pace from Hong Kong.

Beautiful shoreline to walk around. The view of the mountains is poetic. The best place for seafood.

To visit this place you should get proper directions from a local guide. The only way to reach it is by bus or by car. The beaches are really beautiful, you can take a boat that takes you to the small islands around and you will be astonished by the beauty of the natural surroundings. Is perfect to visit on... More

While perhaps not one of the "must see" places in Hong Kong, well worth the effort if you have time. No direct rail but buses run quite often from some MTR's. Unfortunately we were there on a very foggy, somewhat misty day so visibility was not really good enough for any local island tours.

Sai Kung town is a budding artistic enclave, look out for the potters and the craft makers. You can be spoilt for choice for fresh seafood in the holding tanks, enough to be guilty for being a human and needing to eat helpless animals. Animal rights activists should free the giant groupers and cuttlefish first. Or go sailing, 2 yacht... More

I was fortunate enough to have a good Chinese friend and his son to take me to Sai Kung, we walked along the sea front promenade, past all of the fresh fish shops, also bought some fish from the local fishermen. To have this cooked in the local restaurants. We also took a trip on a small Chinese wooden boat... More

I've lived in the U.K. for many years but I was born in HK and Sai Kung is where I am originally from, where I still have family and I use it as my base when I go back to HK every other year. So I suppose you can take it from me that Sai Kung is a great place... More

Sai kung is a nice place with so many options to spend time. One may hire a boat and visit nearby islands or natural rock formations. Nearby there are some very good seafood joints. One may but fresh seafood directly from the boats. It's also famous for diving sites.

This is possibly one of those semi-nature spots that you usually do not associate with HongKong. What a beauty it is! We had so much fun that taking photos. One of the best places to take OOTD photos for sure!

Travelling to Sai Kung takes a very long time by public bus because it is quite far from the city area. However, I think it was one of the most exciting places I've visited in HK so far. We were sad that we did not have enough time to spend in Sai Kung. It will definitely be one of the... More
