Walking along the Ma On Shan pomerade is a great family activity. I like beautiful view, fresh air and relaxed environment, but these are not the reasons for my frequent visits. I come for rare pokemon. The Pomerade is full of pokemon. These are some of the pokemon I caught: Dragonite, Charmander, Charzard, Ponyta, Lapras and the list goes on!... More

This is a superb piece of public infrastructure that features separate walking, jogging and cycling tracks, lots of exercise areas/equipment, small gardens, toilet facilities and rest areas. It gets enormous use by the locals, and the occasional tourist. In the early morning and late afternoon it was relatively cool and breezy, but even in the later morning we found enough... More

This is a lovely promenade, tucked away opposite the Sha Tin area. Very few tourists ever explore this quiet part of Hong Kong, and a lovely stroll by this promenade (at dusk, as it's too hot during the day), provides a tranquil experience and a lovely view of the water canal and the nearby islands of the New Territories.

Cross the overhead bridge to get there. Nothing great. The promenade is concrete built all along the sea front with no trees and is too hot to walk along in the afternoon. There is a nice shadier park that I believe is created for the benefit of the residents in the surrounding area. There is a big mall as you... More

Came here on a fine day with parents for a stroll. We strolled a long the promenade and enjoyed fresh air and gentle breeze . There are people cycling a long the promenade too. Next to the promenade there is a big park with a few children's playground and a small library and a swimming pool next to the park.

Great for walking or a bike ride goes from ma on Shan to Sha tin, lots of places to sit and admire the views and if you wish take part in the fitness equipment. Stop of at the park shady and restful or one end has 2 play areas for children

One hour on the bus up here and totally worth it! Cycled through the connecting parks and promenade here all the way down to the shatin area on my friend's last hours in HK before he had to report for duty to work his return flight back home and this was a pleasant surprise- no foreigners around other than us!... The trees planted along the The Ma On Shan Promenade when it originally opened to the public back in 2010 have now grown quite tall in a few stretches along the waterfront. This has added needed shade and beauty to this leisure area in Ma On Shan and made it more enjoyable and comfortable for midday walks. What is also... More

It was a very nice place to visit. We went there for the heart-shaped rock and the park nearby. Worth visiting just for the heart.

Wu Kai Sha, adjoining the Ma On Shan Promenade, is a romantic beach with a pier and characterized by a heart-shaped stone layout. The "heart" was manually laid by Mr Kwok, now aged 79 and previously a seaman, over 17 years. The backdrop is Pat Sin Leng, a mountain with 8 peaks, symbolizing 8 gods. Best to go there an... More
