Always on the go, busy, street markets, shopping temples, restaurants, museums, many modern tall buildings, view of Hong Kong Skyline... This area has a lot to offer.

90% of shops and business were closed when we visited due to Chinese New Year. Shops that were opened not that interesting. However things may be different after CNY.

Just across the harbor from Hong Kong Island lies Kowloon City, a district that’s built a reputation as a foodie haven. I wandered around this neighborhood within a neighborhood being introduced to many of the sights, sound and smell I would expect from the Land of Smiles. I headed to South Wall Road for the biggest concentration of groceries, street... More

Kowloon City is the district that housed the late Kai Tak airport. The ex-airport area is under massive reconstruction. Kowloon City itself remains a iconic as it always has been. The area is famous for Thai restaurants and local culinary culture. The streets are lined with old time stores that are trying to stay old time. It was feared that... More

I spent several days around Kowloon. I was in a hotel and walked over many areas in this part of the city, always feeling safe and entertained. It is useful to have some idea of what you may find in various areas but not necessary. There is an area of pet sales, an area of teenager shops, an area with... More

Just.back from a walk around Kowloon and it's a busy place even on a long weekend. Markets were being set up and plenty of people were out shopping. Kowloon isn't the business centre the HK island is but it still has office. Holdings but has a more residential towers than the city has. Nice little parks abound and the streets... More
