Don't bother with a tour. You can do this easily on your own. Take the bus number 9 out to the start of the hike and take a bottle of water. Its pretty hard for the first few hundred metres straight up. But after that...More

We took a taxi from the Hong Kong Island. He let us off a bit to early, but we found our way and had a very nice walk. The view was fantastic and so was the track. Easy to find your way and lots of...More

You can do this by yourself but, I do recommend to book a tour so you won't get lost which is almost impossible but it happens. I booked mine with the guys of Wild Hong Kong, small group and friendly guide, Rory. Despite the fact...More

Amazing hike that’s very accessible. Recommend doing it in reverse. Take the minibus from Shau Kei Wan station to the ‘end’ of dragons back, then hike to the beginning. From there it’s a very short bus ride to Shek O where you can enjoy the...More

The second half of the trek is pretty boring. The first half provides stunning views. The green cover is pretty low. So, the scorching heat is the only issue

The Dragon’s Back trail is an easy one, suitable for beginners. The views were wonderful, and I was lucky that the weather was great. Ended the hike at Big Wave Bay, which has a nice relaxing feel. There were buses at both start and end...More

We did the entire hike from the road near Stanley to Big Wave Beach which as best I can tell includes the entire Dragon's Back and some of the Hong Kong trail. It was about 5 1/2 miles and not as easy as others have...More

The hike is pretty easy and short. The views on the way are amazing and the hike ends at a beach. Ideally a half day trip.

This is a great hike with fabulous views, although strenuous. Start at the far end and finish by walking down to the “Big Wave Beach” and have a snack and drink before taking the “private bus” back to town. Take subway to Shau Kei Wan...More

Cape Collinson Catholic Cemetery. If you Google "catholic cemetary starting dragon back", you will get blog posts on how to navigate the cemetery to Dragon's Back.
