I had high expectations in this museum but I was a bit disappointed. There are some interpreting items and stories however most of them are not spectacular as other activities you can spend time on. I would not say it is a must when in...More

Hong Kong museums are affordable and educational. I attended the museum on the opening day of the current exhibit featuring the Silk Road. They have staff who will help you take a photo with authentic Central Asian dress and a yurt!

A fantastic museum of HK from ancient to modern times following a walking path through the museum which goes from prehistoric to the handover an beyond. I strongly recommend this for a quick insight into the development of this fascinating region of China

Modern, well-arranged, convenient and with some great child (and adult)-friendly exhibitions that cover both Hong Kong's and China's history in the region. Spacious display spaces and signage in both English and Chinese. If you're traveling with your children, don't miss it. Weekdays it's a busy...More

We went to the museum on our day of arrival and spent 4 to 5 hours here. We caught an English language tour (approximately 90 minutes) just as we arrived and then circled back to go through the parts the tour past quickly through. It...More

Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping
areas of Hong Kong. With a high concentration of
hotels, retail shops and commercial offices – it’s a
busy and bustling neighbourhood that never sleeps. On
the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an
abundant number of high-end retail stores selling
designer brands and jewelry, owing to its popularity
with high-budget shopping tours. However, it also

We stayed at the Hotel Icon, so we just walked over. Since you're staying near the airport, a cab ride would be around $200 HKD. Uber is available at very competitive rates and most with very clean vehicles and very... More

Hi, The HK Museum of Art opposite the Peninsula Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is closed. But this is the HK Museum of History and Culture. It was fully open when I visited it ten days ago.

You can take the bus (A21) from the airport and get off at the 18th stop (Hong Kong Science Museum) which is just next to Hong Kong Museum of History. :)
