The place comes alive post 11 pm. Popularly known as LKF street, it is lined with numerous pubs and few exclusive clubs too. Some areas lead off to dark alleys which looked shady to me. After 12, the party spreads to the streets. There are police around; cabs are available but there is a queue.

It's like entering a different world of Hong Kong in Lan Kwai Fong where people from different countries are hanging out here. There are so many nice bars to choose from people are generally friendly.

Mix crowds from expats to local youngsters. It also has a diverse drinking options (depending on your budget), raging from wine pairing to jelly shots. The bars mostly play commercial EDMs songs which i'm not very fond of. Although there are a few clubs playing techno and deep house. I love the ambiance.

If you are new in Hong Kong, you should visit visit LKF for party and fun .. Mostly, Full of people with dangerously loud music...you just need to sit outside one of the bar and observe different types of people. Its fun to visit on weekends. I am going with three-stars mainly b/c it wasn't our scene. LOADED with western tourists, over priced beer and lots of crowds. Didn't find a good place to eat either. Now, if I was 21 and single, probably would have gotten 4 stars.

Only on reason to go to LKF, party. It is a standard Asian alley packed with bars, restaurants, music, and drunk people. Lots of young people hanging out in front of a 7 11 drink 2.5 HKD beer vice 9 HKD beer at a bar.

If you are not into what Wan Chai has to offer - Philippino girls and starved stallions, LKF is your place for drinks. Not the only one but the other places you will have to spend time to find. Right in the Central area of HK island, easily accessible by the MTR. Lots of good bar-restaurants, lots of bad ones... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
