The cable car up to Lantau island was beautiful and one of the longest I've been on. It gives you a spectacular view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. As you come up to the island you are able to see the Big Bhudda.

The place where the airport is situated. It's connected by the Tsing Ma Bridge to the rest of Hong Kong. Take a bus to Lantau to see the bridge in all of its brilliant engineering excellence !

10 minutes by bus from the airport, so used my 12+ hour layover on my way back to visit the Big Buddha, the Precious Lotus monastery, and other attractions on the island.

This was an absolutely outstanding experience. There is so much to do on beautiful Lantau, including visiting the big Buddha and going to the monasteries. This provides a rich sense of Hong Kong culture and really has an authentic oriental feel to it. BOOK CABLE CAR IN ADVANCE ONLINE!! Luckily we done this and I'm so glad we did! The... More

Took bus MTR and Bus to go to the Tai O fishing village first. It was roughly a 2 hrs journey. The fishing village was nice. The boat ride has not much to offer..boat men said we may see Dolphin, but the boat was not going into the deep water..not sure of Dolphins some close to the shore..any way I... More

Me and my partner came here in October 2016. We took the cable car over and I would recommend this to anyone! Some amazing scenery and views so have your camera ready! However, I would recommend booking tickets online in advance as the queue for the tickets is ridiculous! About 1.5 - 2 hours long! We went to see the... More

Overtime I visit Hong Kong, this is one of the things I'm always compelled to do over. Its a stunning view of city skyline meets breathtaking nature on the glass bottom cable car ride from the ocean to the greenery mountains and the Big Budda with the view. Then when yout arrive you're filled with different aspects of nature beauty... More

Great day on Lantau Island! I travelled there with my parents and took a bus and cable car to the Monastery. We took a bus to the Tai O fishing village and then a bus to the ferry and a ferry back to Central. My parents are in their 70s and managed the trip well. We loved walking around the... More

Very nice place (a bit touristic but still very interesting). It is presented as a chinese village where you can see and participate in local activities like tea ceremony or chinese box etc. There is a statue of Big Budda which is quite impressive. You can travel there with a skylif which is also tourist attraction.
