Had the opportunity to attend their services during my visit. The whole atmosphere inside the cathedral simply heart warming and spiritual. Definitely a venue worth the visit for a spiritual renewal...

So lovely to enter St John's and leave the hectic hurly burly of the city behind. Complete quiet and calm wafts over you as you enter the Cathedral. We spent a short while enjoying the peace after a visit to Victoria Peak. The gardens are...More

This is well hidden if you are walking up through the garden, it is suddenly just there. The doors are open and very welcoming. There are also a couple of boards outside with plenty of information on. The cathedral is large and holds prayer sessions...More

Like a large parish church I was reminded of St George's Cathedral in Jerusalem, another centre of calm in a differently hectic city. After been taken to a series of Buddhist shrines across China by our Chinese host it was good to be able to...More

We were unable to wander around the cathedral at will because there was a service going on when we arrived, but I slipped in at the back to pray and soak up the atmosphere. This is the oldest Anglican church in Hong Kong, a statuesque...More

When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies
with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The
area widely known as Central is the major financial
hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up
to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open
late into the night and there just happens to be a
street party every weekend. Although everything seems
to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of
