It's a good place to see maple. People always visit in autumn. I went there with my roommates and we had fun there

When coming to Qixia, try to remember that it's a temple on a mountain. If you have any more expectations than this, then you will surely be disappointed. The people there are friendly and if you go on weekdays there typically aren't many people there.

It's a famous mountain in Nanjing and about 30km from the city center, you can take bus there from Nanjing Railway Station. There is a very famous temple-Qi Xia Temple beneath the hill, it's more than 1500 years old now, and regarded to be one of the top 4 temple in China. Many visitors come here during Nov.20 to Dec.10... More

Been a few times now and not far from the Xianlin area of town. There are a few shops selling Buddhist accessories and a nice clothing shops as well... More

It is worth making the effort to get to the mountain area. There are plenty of good walks up and around the mountain. The views of the Yangtze, from the summit are excellent, and the Buddha caves are also worth the visit on their own. The temple itself is also better than most. We went on a Saturday, and it... Plenty to see from temple, Stupa, Buddhas carved into the mountain. Also plenty of space to hike up the three peaks. Not very challenging but takes up an afternoon. Also good views from that height
