Smaller than Tanah Abang but way more comfortable to move around. Brighter with a better mix of shops. Besides batik, there's modern wear, mobile shops and better food choices here. Also they have drop off areas for alighting passengers which we can call Grab/Gojek from. Price wise people say it's a bit higher than Tanah Abang but honestly to me it's not that much higher and I would gladly pay for the comfort.

If you want to look for clothings like batik, etc, this mall is good enough than Tanah Abang. The price might be slightly higher, but with less crowd and a more comfortable experience, you are willing to pay that bit. Also many restaurants to choose from, plus there is also a hypermarket in the mall 👍

We visited the mall in the morning, not much of a crowd at this time and it was convenient for us to check out the various stores. There is a wide range of batik clothings here, price is reasonable for the quality of products here, even though the price of clothes at stores on the ground floor was a bit expensier then stores on the upper levels, we found that the choice for clothes was better at stores on the ground level, better choice for design and colours for batik clothings. We did our shopping and left the mall before noon time when there was a larger crowd of shoppers here. It is a huge place with lots of stores, but we were comfortable with the air conditioned environment indoors.

Good place to shop for batik and traditional outfits. Many shops and variety of styles and sizes. Prices are not the cheapest but reasonable. Not too crowded. If you are allergic to dust mites, wear a mask. My friend and I started sneezing after 45min in the building.

Spent more than 2 hours exploring the mall. Accessible conveniently by public transportation but can improve if there is a designated station for those who are waiting for Grab.
So many outlets for Batik garments and "ole2" with reasonable price. Some even cheaper than in Pasar Baru Bandung. A must visit when traveling to Jakarta.

If there is one thing Indonesia is famous for is its batik designs. One could shop for cheaper batik in the famed Tanah Abang bazaar but Thamcit (as its fondly called) offers a more orderly shopping in air conditioned environment.

Make a mental note of your location as the place is simply a maze of bazaars from sub-basement to level 3 with 2 blocks adjoining.

Bargain if you want to have the fun (I would say you can get a minimum of 20% from the quoted price) but the items are already cheap to begin with.

We wandered into this place that had a whole floor selling Batik and other forms of clothes. Basically a local haunt and for the older generation. Noticed that the young and trendy do not visit this place. We did a once over and decided to leave, and did not bother to venture into the upper floors.
