A must visit museum. The museum is beautiful and well maintained. It focused on Javanese history, especially the history of the royal family of Mataram kingdom both in Yogya and Solo. The visitor will get jamu (traditional herb) in between tour.

The history of Java was interesting but felt the guide rushed us. She had memorized her part and then just simply presented the spiel .

Privately owned and curated, so great effort. Interesting history and well informed guide. Wandering through the grounds is like a labyrinth. The Musuem shop has really beautiful and not found pret-a-porter batik designer clothes at affordable prices. Love it.
