What an amazing Railway system,trains every 10 minutes between Tokyo and Kyoto, beautiful trains very clean, and above all punctual service. Very helpful staff coupled with amazing Japanese politeness.

The English announcement on the train informs you that 'WiFi is available on this train'. This information is incorrect, they need to fix this misleading recorded announcement, as only a select few trains have Wi-Fi, for a prepaid price.

I'd just go for the bullet return There is a mix of train / tube in Kyoto to mix with walking We rented an electric assisted bike, this was a great & convenient way to get about - see my cycle shop review
