Somebody clearly told the secret, as there was absolutely nothing secret about it. We had to queue to enter the lagoon. I suppose it can be beautiful when there is no one there and the water is clear. But otherwise, a big no. At least we could laugh about it!

When in El Nido there are many offers of tours and trips. Most centre around the trips out to the various lagoons and beaches when you go island hopping by boat. The tours seem to be TOUR A, B and C. So there seems to be a set pattern whoever you book with. I went with Spyder Tours and everything... More

Nothing secret about the lagoon everyone knows about it but great to see and some cool natural formations.

Visited as part of tour. There were many, maybe 15 to 20 boats anchored there. You need to swim to the beach. Boats were always arriving and leaving which made it unsafe to swim. Would not recommend or visit again.

Whenever you hear the word 'hidden' and 'secret' in travel itineraries, ask yourself, is it actually a secret? This one is definitely not (you may have to stand in line to enter the 'secret' lagoon) but is it gorgeous!! I can see why it is called a secret lagoon, it has a tiny opening and it opens to his pool... More

The big joke with the tour guides is that the Secret Lagoon is not a secret. It is unfricking believably crowded. It's just silly how crowed it is just to see a muddy puddle.

the fact that a clear lagoon is inside a big mountain made of stone is a mesmerizing experience for us.

If you happen to stumble upon tourists going out from the lagoon, you'll have to wait for quite some time for only one narrow entrance is your way to it. The waters are shallow and obscure.

Be prepared to queue just to get in this "secret" lagoon but it is worth the wait! Be prepared to climb through a small gap to gain entry I would recommend wearing shoes as the rocks are quite sharp! The lagoon is breath taking!

Went here as part of a boat tour (tour C) and although we were one of the first to arrive it was still busy, and soon got incredibly busy. Helicopter island beach (2 stops later on the tour) was much better, larger and less busy. Snorkelling was good at both secret lagoon and helicopter beach.
