Puerto Princesa's Hidden Garden
Dec 2019
Our second destination is Baker’s Hill which is located in Mitra Road, Puerto Princesa City. It’s a private property that became a tourist destination as they built a park, bakeshop, and a restaurant for the public.
They’re famous for selling pastries such as hopia, egg pie, crinkles, and bread in their bakeshop called Baker’s Hill Bakeshoppe. I’ve tried their hopiang ube and mongo and I could say that it’s a quality hopia product!

I recommend their pastries to international tourists who are curious to try local Filipino pastries. The bakery shop is quite busy as it’s packed with tourists so ensure to get everything you want to try as the queue could be very long and some stocks are limited. Afterward, you can stroll around their fantasy inspired park which is good for family weekend bonding or for couples who want to have quality time together. There’s a spot in the park with a great overlooking view of Honda Bay/ Sulu Sea and as you go further down the park, you’ll encounter aviaries of peacocks. They also have a restaurant inside the premises called Baker’s Kitchen that offers local and international dishes.

AWKWARD!!!!!
Feb 2020 • Couples
Place is LAME, AWKWARD and a must not visit place of the city.
It is somebody else’s backyard with peacocks in cages( poor Animals).
Food stores are not that good at all not even that so called pastry shop.
Local tourists have no discipline at all.
The set up is so artificial with no cultural contents.
One visit is enough to find out never to come back again!!!!
It was just a waste of time.

Your pasalubong from Puerto Princesa
May 2019
Baker's Hill is a popular stopover for Puerto Princesa tourists to hoard over baked goods and local snacks (though nothing too special) for their trip back home.

Memorable Gardens

We loved the variety of gardens and plants. They bake their own pastries here and are on sale to take away.

A hot spot that has lost its pizazz
Jan 2020
I've been coming to Puerto Princesa over the last 10 years, and am now living here. I decided to visit Bakers Hill again after a number of years. This location started small, became quite the hot spot, and has now gone downhill. It has a decent little bakery, but that's about it. Even that is not anything terribly unique. The bakery drew people years ago, it began to add features, lots of eating/food, decor, etc.....but now it's just all tired, and some in poor repair. I pity the animals they have in cages. I guess it could still turn around, but is in bad need of cash infusion, inspiration, cleaning, and someone who really cherishes the nature and animals that could give it all the care it really needs to become a place to truly appreciate. Otherwise, I was surprised to see how much it has lost and has become a bit depressing.

This place is famous for pastries and breads. They also have a restaurant and souvenir shop inside their compound.
Outside foods and drinks are strictly not allowed even bottled water 😅

More Figures were Added; More Places to Sit and Lounge
Nov 2019
Not much activity here. But if you want to buy from their bakery and cafe, at least you have a lot of spaces to choose and sit and spend some time. You could also have some photo taken with the figures/characters that they have placed all over the area.

Baked goodies are worth coming here. Great for pasalubongs and consumption. That is if your flight would be on the following day. But if you can have them refrigerated at your hotel, why not?

Free fun

We went with a seven year old who really enjoyed himself there. It's a great 1-2 hour trip. If you are not with kids it might not be as enjoyable.

This is one of the stops for the city tour in Puerto Princesa. Nothing really special here except few bakery and cafe. There’s also some sculptures and a garden here.
