The Firefly watching have been a lovely experience. It is a must go show that probably no-one would like to miss. You can not find such a thing at any other place. TIP: Try visiting the last thing @ night.

It is about 45 mins to 1 hour travel time (self-drive) from the city proper. And while visitors are there, there is a restaurant that you can stay and they offer a buffet service which has delicious foods. Plenty of foods to choice and I like the gelatin dessert there.. serve by the owner. While waiting for the firefly watching... More

Aside from the buffet served on the boat, there is nothing exciting about this. This is one of the things you can miss out when in Palawan. There are a lot more things to do in Palawan than this one. One of the best examples when reality fails miserably all expectations.

i find this quite romantic to be touring in the boat in darkness with only the fireflies and stars as your light. if you go on a firefly watching, please ensure that you wear long pants and you put on insect repellant.

If you have the chance to do this river cruise, it is not to be missed. I went to the Underground River Cruise but was completely enchanted by this one.

My review is not a 5 because I grew up in the U.S. South where we would catch fireflies all the time on summer nights. That said, it's still a wondrous occasion for being out under the stars in a silent rowboat watching firefly lights in the mangroves. Almost everyone goes on a tour, so there will be a dinner... A spécial excursion in the tropical country PPS. We paid 1000Peso by person in total of 4 hours. It included the van round trip pick up service from hotel, the buffet dinner and the catamaran. We really enjoy the firefly in the mangrove. It is stunning! I thought you cant find the same excursion elsewhere.

We are 2 couples who went to Puerto Princesa with one thing in mind - enjoy the beauty it offers. As our stay in Puerto Princesa was only 4 days, so we focused ourselves in visiting the nearby places, which included the firefly watching along Iwahig River. Going to the place takes about an hour. It was an enjoyable experience... More

Our tour was planned on the day of our arrival in Puerto Princesa. We were offered this tour by the van hired by the b&b we will be staying. We were 7 in the group. We hired the van for 2000 pesos including stop over for dinner and to buy groceries. The driver booked for us in advance the tour.... More
