Navalas church is the oldest building on Guimaras, built by the local residents at the end of the 19th century and restored with the assistance of the European Union nations. Navalas Church according to our trisikad (tricycle) driver cum tour guide, is the "most beautiful church" in Guimaras. It was a company team building, after we checked out at the resort we had this as one of our side trips. The caretaker said it dates back to 1880, you can see the evidence by those big limestone pillars and altar. It's on a hilly portion and ice fields as a background. Good for photo ops too.
